Electronic project from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Between the 90s and now.
RUHUR is an electronic project from Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognizable by the black hood and bandaged hands. It bridges retro 90s ex-Yugoslav housewave with contemporary house production — through a figure who doesn’t judge, only watches what everyone pretends not to see.
RUHUR is an electronic project from Bosnia and Herzegovina, recognizable by the black hood and bandaged hands — a visual signature drawn from Sufi aesthetics. The name leans on “ruh” (soul/spirit) and the Sufi tradition of the inner observer: the position of one who has stepped back from participation, but not from attention.
Sonically, RUHUR bridges retro 90s ex-Yugoslav housewave and synthwave with contemporary house production. Lyrically, the project explores psychological states rarely named in public — disappearing, self-sabotage, boundaries drawn too late, peace that doesn’t ask permission. The line continues the introspective ex-Yugoslav electronic tradition of Darko Rundek and Darkwood Dub, but through a contemporary production language.
The catalog began in 2024 with the singles Nanovo (May 2024) and Sheitan (September 2024), continued with Kiša (August 2025) and Lopov (December 2025). The EP Pukotine was released on January 23, 2026, gathering the singles alongside the new track Oni. The single SAM followed on April 10, 2026. The first collaborative single Ne zanima me with Nyca is announced for June 2026. The album, collecting all singles and bonus material, is planned for December 2026.
The active audience core is the regional ex-Yugoslav scene — primarily Bosnia and Herzegovina, then Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro.
